Rimmel Wake me up Foundation & Rimmel Kate Lipstick

By Unknown - November 13, 2015

I made another purchase on feelunique.com a few weeks back. I wanted to try the long loved Rimmel Wake me up Foundation that has been a lot of peoples faverites for years. They don’t sell them in South Africa anymore, well that I am aware of. When I saw they sold them on Feel Unique I had to give it a try! I am so happy that I matched it so well with my skin otherwise it would have been a waste. I decided to add the new Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Nude Lipstick that have recently launched in South Africa

The Foundation: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Price: £7.19 ( ± R160)

Shade: Soft Beige

I have been using this foundation for a few weeks now so I can definitely say that it’s amazing. Probably the best foundation I have ever used. Saying this I haven’t really tried a huge range of foundations. I really love the fresh smell it comes with and a tiny sparkle that it has in it to make your skin look awake. The application is easier because it comes with a pump. I usually go for 1 pump but it can easily be built up with an extra one to look flawless.

You can see the image I took of me applying this to my face ( Before and after) I only did one pump and it covered up my uneven tones and the light freckles that I have on my face. I would say it’s got a medium coverage but a really good medium coverage!

When you apply it, it appears very dewy (wet look). This helps make your face look more hydrated and healthier rather than dry and flaky. I do apply powder so that it can tone down the dewy look a bit and to help it to last longer.

If you ever have the opportunity to give this a try you should totally do so!

The Lipstick : Rimmel Kate Lasting finish Nude Lipstick

Price£4.39 ( ±R96 )

Shade: 43

I don’t own a lot of nude lipsticks but I do enjoy a nude lip. I decided to get this shade because it appeared to me from what I could see an "in-between" shade. So it didn’t look to pale or super dark for my skin. It has a creamy texture to it. I really love carrying this in my bag even if it just to put a little bit of life back into my lips!

I find it does last long but obviously you can’t go eating, drinking, licking and still expect it to be 100% there.

I did see that they sell for about R80 in stores. Shaelyn was clearly not thinking clearly when she made the order. (Silly me!)

I really love shopping on Feelunique because they have such good service. They do ship worldwide so you can easily get your order shipped to your nearest Post Office in South Africa. Unfortunately, I got chargers about R 100 custom fee. This is the first time being charged custom fees out of the three purchases I have made through Feelunique. You cant really avoid this though. I hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a super weekend!

  3. Customs fees are the worst! But I'm glad you got such great products in the end, it would be so frustrating to pay the extra amount and have them not being right for you. That nude colour is great on you, you made a great match :)

    1. Aw thank you Erin. Yes it would have been frustrating!
